The One Thing That Changed My Business

Hola gorgeous hearts!

One of the things that really inspired me (+ still does) when I’m down in the salt mines of my business, trying to work out the next step, is listening to the stories of other business women who’ve been where I am + have had an insight that’s helped them along.

With that in mind, I’ve asked a number of gorgeous, inspired, soulful business women to share their sacred AHA! moment – of the thing that changed their business.

Today’s insight is for anyone looking to balance biz + life while remaining true to their desires.

Lots of love,

Leonie

Leading By Example in Biz & Life

I followed Leonie’s blog posts for years before finally taking the leap to join her Amazing Biz + Life Academy late last year. The value I’ve received from this membership is priceless. Between the e-courses and the active masterminds, I’ve learned so much, and I’ve connected with a number of friendly and interesting women in business.

Leonie is very talented at holding a space for like-minded women to interact and grow. The masterminds are a truly safe place to share issues, challenges, and questions on both life and business. And I think it’s important to remember that this community is all thanks to Leonie: for creating and holding this space, and for attracting such a wonderful group of women.

The best business lesson that I’ve learned from Leonie is perhaps not one single thing that I read in her blog, heard in a group coaching call, or learned from one of her e-courses. It’s Leonie herself. Leonie is a talented woman who has created a heart-centered business focused on helping other women.

In other words, it’s my ideal business model.

Leonie is one of three women in business who I most admire, and I am constantly learning from her examples: the business and life challenges that she shares in her blog, the wealth of knowledge in her How to Be a Business Goddess e-course, and her tips on how to grow a business in her How to Hire, Grow, and Keep a Shining Six-Figure Team e-course. She shares intimate details of both her personal and business lives that serve as an inspiring example for other women in business, including myself.

And it’s thanks to Leonie that I know that it really is possible to build a successful online business that can help thousands of women around the world. I see her example every day online, whether it’s in the Academy, on social media, or on her blog. She’s constantly providing an example of business success that we can follow, if we choose to do so.

And she does it all in less than four hours a day.

This is the second thing I love about Leonie and her business: she fits her business into her personal life, rather than cramming stolen moments with her family around a hectic business. Her family is a priority, and she ensures that she has several hours a day to enjoy with them. She’s very open about this on her blog, and on social media.

It’s easy for us to see just how fulfilling her life is, as she puts all the cards on the table for us to see. This also makes it easy to learn by the example of her personal life. She puts it all out there.

To sum it all up, the absolute best business lesson I’ve learned from Leonie is that:

It’s possible to have a heart-centered online business and a rich personal life at the same time.

And that’s exactly what I want for my own business: to help others while still having enough time to enjoy my personal life.

Having Leonie’s business as an example of my ideal business model has changed me, my life, and my business. It helps me ensure that I don’t get off track with side projects that don’t fit into my business ideal. And it also helps inspire me when business hits a slow period or a dip.

I truly believe that there will be more successful women in business once there are more women who are open about all aspects of their business and personal lives, and how they’ve managed to balance the two in a way that works for them. Building a business is easier when learning by example, because of the clear proof that it’s possible. And when the model business owner also teaches how to be successful based on her example, that makes it all the better.
