Precious humans,

A newborn year, sweet with promise.

I started it by burning rosemary, dried eucalyptus leaves and resin in a little lilac cauldron as a saining ceremony beneath our plum tree. I swear the energy shifted palpably, and I can still feel the sweetness of it days later.

I also completed my first 12 Magical Nights rite which felt so grounding. Each evening, I burned a wish over our veggie garden, then watered it. It felt like a beautiful way to connect with the spirits of the elements, and offer my wishes up. Then I’d water the seedlings and the ash, like a whole ecosystem of new beginnings.

This year, I’ve decided I’m going to complete every single page in my goal workbooks, and do it all by January 15. Usually I do 50-70%, depending on what I’m calling in. Like I say in them – you don’t need to fill in every page. This year, I want to go even deeper into my goals, so 100% is it!

We’ve been getting quite a few emails like this:

Of course… the answer is YES!!!!!

I’ve been creating free Yearly Highlights posters for a few years now, and I use them for myself.

Here’s mine for 2025, sitting above my studio desk:

I added all my blessings and gratitudes to it on little post it notes as the year went along, and it felt like a way to celebrate every good thing that happened. And it makes it SO MUCH easier to remember all the highlights of the year by the end of it! This one will get put into my workbook now the year is complete to store.

Feel free to tag me in the socials if you’re filling out your workbooks – I’m @leonie_dawson on Instagram. I just shared a lil video this afternoon of me planning out my 2026 on a wall planner if you want to see. (I totally get my jones on watching other people’s planning systems!)

With big love, and the scent of herbs in the wind,
