Hola gorgeous Goddesses!
Another bumper post today… filled with all ze scumptious goodies I’ve been soaking up around the wonderful interwebs!
I’ve been reading this ebook by Michael Nobbs. Refreshing, honest + wonderful. Since becoming a mama, my creating time has become super limited, so it was really ding dang helpful reading about Michael’s take on micro-creativity.
I really liked reading Gwen Bell’s zazen + retreat routine here.
Ze 2011 Workbook is a bonus in 52 Weeks To Awesome.
Try & stop me from making this Peanut Butter Choc Slice from Eat Live Run for Christmas. OH YES.
Katrina Kenison’s The Other Side of the Sweet Side is stunning. As is all her work. I just ordered her book The Gift of an Ordinary Day because her words touch me so.
Terri Fischer’s voice is incredible. I had this song she wrote in my head for days. SO beautiful.
Ze Superhero Grandma photo series is sublime + ridiculous + fabulous. I can totally picture my own Magnificent Gran doing this!
Goddess Circle sister Kyeli is on soul-fire right now. Her writings are blazing. I love this one: My Fear & I Go On A Date.
“Don’t try to win over the haters. You’re not the jackass whisperer.”
— Scott Stratten, author of Unmarketing: Stop Marketing. Start Engaging.
How to make a dollhouse out of shelves! This is just so inspiring… can’t wait to make something with Mermaid Daughter when she is older!!!
I’m still utterly obsessed with Bookshelf Porn. It makes my soul sing + breathe with peace.
Serpent Mandala’s latest artwork is magical as always.
The story of a babe born on a plane made me cry. I mean, all birth stories do that to me now. But this one’s pretty remarkable.
LoobyLu took a big courageous leap of faith, and moved across the world to an island. Oh baby, those island pics of hers! It’s what dreams are made out of!
Keri Smith’s Secrets of the Self Employed is wise, sage and true. I admire Keri’s ability to stay utterly true to her own craft + voice. That woman really steers her own boat, you know?
Mama’s Corner:
Yes, it does get better. This post on Ask Moxie made my year. If you are a mama, you need to read this. Especially if you have a babe in arms. Moxie has such a grounded, loving, smart take on mamahood + raising kids. When Mermaid Daughter was little, I read through her whole archive. It was soul balm + loving wisdom.
Happy marriage advice from a previously divorced mom. This one had me thinking a LOT. Yes Yes Yes x a million. Please, please read this if you have a partner + kiddliwinks.
And two related posts on Parenting: Five Reasons to Stop Saying “Good Job!” + You Can Hear! Good Girl!
I Want To Be A Mother! This career guidance post by a mama + blogger was just glorious. I can totally resonate with so much of what she said, especially the bits about writing whole blog posts + running a business with one hand while a babe sleeps in your arms. That’s pretty much been my business model.
Video magic!
A goddess circle sister sent me this video… she thought a song called “Pink Fluffy Unicorns Dancing On Rainbows!” might be just my thing. She was oh so very right. His video on what he does for a living is actually really interesting too! Peoples are doing such amazing things for jobs now 🙂
And this video makes me howl with laughter. Again & again. That’s all I can really say about that.
It’s a wonderful, wonderful world.
Thank you for being in it.
Now get out there & having a flipping tops weekend, dearest!!!
BIG GINORMO DANCING ELEPHANT SIZED LOVE!
“I loved the 2010 workbook, it really helped me focus on some important goals and changes that I was making in my life. It became my safe port in many storms throughout 2010 and kept me beautifully motivated and on track with making things happen. I can honestly say that I am ending this year in a much better place than I was at the same time last year and I attribute a lot of that to the powerful tool that is the 2010 Workbook. I have big plans for 2011 and can’t wait to begin it with the 2011 workbook!”
