Oh my god Leonie, are we ever connected. Just last night I finally had the courage to quit. What I quit? Having to be perfect, the perfect daughter because my parents told that I was special and a wish child and truly god’s child because I was given to them after my birth that I was so perfect that they couldn’t wish for anything else.
On top they unknowingly heaped tons of guilt with it wihtout even knowing. But now I have finally had enough of having to live up to this ideal image. I am enough the way I am. I am normal and good enough. I live my best life, alwasy give and try my best. I do the best I can. Just like you.
I let go of the vessel of that perfect image I could never reach no matter what. I let go of having to disappoint the people around me because they have such high expectations of me. It’s enough. I am doing the best I can, just like you Leonie!
