2014 dream extravaganza

Arwen-LynchG’day darlinghearts!

Today’s guest post the one and only Arwen Lynch. Arwen is a Professional Joy Seeker thriving in Austin, TX. She writes as Marilu Mann with her best friend. Her daily mantra is “Seek joy, y’all. Pass it on.” She’s going to be sharing a handy tip on how to help you manifest your 2014 Word of the Year faster!

As you know, I very rarely accept guest posts, but each year I like to invite some gorgeous, passionate, inspiring women to share their new year dreams, goals + miracles.

The more we hear of women dreaming big dreams and making them happen, the more it will become the “new normal” and fuel us to do just the same.

Introducing dear Arwen!

Hey y’all!

I’m just tickled to have this opportunity to tell you about my experience with the Amazing Biz + Life Academy–in particular, the Amazing Workbook. I started with the Academy in May of 2012. Haven’t looked back since. I can’t. I’ve been too busy moving forward into my dreams. Then I made the mistake (lol) of downloading the 2013 Amazing Biz + Life Planner. Whoops! Talk about jet fuel. ZOOOOOOOOOOOOOM I was off and running. Now here I am as part of the 2014 Dreaming Extravaganza. Gotta love it when dreams you didn’t know you have…come true.

So about dreams, I have a few. But first, I need to confess something. Are you ready? Are you sitting down? I’m not the world’s biggest follower. I tend to get a system and make it my own. I must admit here and now that I did not completely finish the workbook (either of them) last year.

GASP!

But it’s okay. One of the really fabulous things about this is the opening words from Leonie. She says to work the workbook as you are called. Some of us like to start on page one and go step-by-step. Others are more the bibliomance type–open the workbook and start there. Me? I’m the “start, stop and start again” kind. So that’s how I did that workbook last year. Sporadically. 😀

But you know what?

I wrote down some dreams and some goals. I had some huge dreams come true.

Michelle Obama told the world to “Seek joy, y’all!”

Welllllll no, that one didn’t happen. Still, I did release an e-course for writers, a tarot spreads ebook illustrated by Lisa Hunt AND my writing partner and I had two books accepted by our editor. So not a bad year in terms of what I wrote down. The key factor for me was the workbook.

Not just writing things down that I wanted but creating actionable steps. That was the key for me.

One of my actionable steps was “just ask” which I did. I got two no’s and one yes. That yes was from Lisa Hunt which took my Fairy Tale Tarot Spreads e-book from plain to insanely beautiful. Now maybe I would have thought to ask but I wouldn’t have committed to asking. Basically this workbook forces you to stop being a chicken and become the pig. And making yourself your own Eierlegende Wollmilchsau is pretty cool, y’all. So you have to ask yourself this.

Do you want to be involved with your dreams (chicken) or committed to them (pig).

Eleni Gabre-Madhin says:

“We spend most of our lives cutting down our ambitions because the world has told us to think small. Dreams express what your soul is telling you, so as crazy as your dream might seem — even to you — I don’t care: You have to let that out.”

The work I did with 2013 is in the past. Now I’m doing 2014. You want to know what really inspired me? Looking at what I wrote down then comparing it with what happened. This year I’m adding in a monthly reminder to revisit my planner. I fell off that track last year. Did I mention “start, stop, start again”? The big thing for me last year was the word of the year. I’d never done that before. Once I let go of needing the “perfect” word, I got my word for 2013. That was Galvanize.

Now I want to share with you how I got my word for 2014.

Leonie asked, “If you could pick a goddess theme as a power word or affirmation of what you’d like to experience & focus on for your year, what would it be?”

Because I am a wordsmith (I am published as Marilu Mann with nine books out and two currently in edits for release in 2014), the word search has to include definitions. I also try the words out. I write them down. I use them in sentences. I say them out loud. The word has to work for me and resonate in me. It has to make me excited and all tingly.

Yep, I need to fall in love with that word.

For me, I want a verb. They are actions and initiatives. They do stuff. A verb kept coming up but I wasn’t sure about it. So, being a Tarot consultant, I consulted my cards. And? I got a card with the message of my verb. Sort of. It was a bit askew from my word. My word, I thought, was GENERATE. Turns out? I was wrong.

Arwen-1

By two letters, I was wrong. It’s not generate–to create energy or life force. No! It’s REGENERATE–to revitalize, be reborn, to refurbish and even rehabilitate.

WHOA! Who knew what a difference two little letters could make, right? Magic. It happens.

With this 2014 Create Your Amazing Year workbook, magic happens routinely. It happens when I write down my big goals and my actionable steps. It happens when I revisit my workbook. It happens when I work with my word of the year.

A handy tip to help you manifest your Word Of The Year faster?

I use my word of the year as part of my passcodes and passphrases at work. So for three months my old password was IAMAGALVAN1Z3R. It made me think of my 2013 word which in turn made me think of the workbook which made me think of my goals and actions to get there.

And when I look back while doing the work with the 2013 Create Your Incredible Year workbook+Planner? Boy howdy, did I ever get there. One of my goals with actionable steps was to increase my mailing list by 100%. I went from 94 people to over 500. So I kinda blew past 100% and went to 443% increase. That did translate into a very prosperous 2013 as well because of another goal…the Tarot for Writers eCourse.

So why should you get this workbook? I mean…what good will it do you?

In a word? It can regenerate you. It can galvanize you. You spend time with it in the first month to set up your goals. Then come back to it each month. It will be your own personal coach using your own voice to motivate you. You already know what you want, right? Now use this workbook to plan out your AMAZING year. I believe in this so much that I’m actually doing free three card email readings for anyone who gets this workbook (downloadable version only.) Just let me know and I’ll set that up for you.

So what will your word of the year be?

Let’s get started on that today. I want you to be able to look back at 2014 and start counting all your dreams that came true. And maybe a few you didn’t realize that you had. It’s your turn to turn your dreams into realities.

Thank you Arwen for sharing this with us.

May you REGENERATE your way through 2014!!

And that’s a bloody awesome tip – I LOVE using passwords as affirmations to help me manifest it even faster!

All my love,
