Yesterday morning, we awoke at dawn to go the hot air balloon festival.

I love this festival. There is nothing more picturesque, beautiful, or simply magical than standing in a field as forty hot air balloons take flight as the day breaks.

I loved the feature balloons ~ especially the tree trunk with the toucans peeking from the branches… it reminded me of Enid Blyton’s Enchanted Tree.

I loved how adults turned into children, mouths agape, faces turned to the sky at the sight of colourful balloons…

Balloons made perfect reflections into the water of the lake ~

I adored the bumble bees ~ twin bees that took flight in unison, holding hands ~ they looked so sweet.

it’s the craziest thing to be looking at balloons of bumble bees and houses in flight ~

Afterwards we walked down to the lake front, watching the water, enjoying the sun.
