One of the things that really inspired me (+ still does) when I’m down in the salt mines of my business, trying to work out the next step, is listening to the stories of other business women who’ve been where I am + have had an insight that’s helped them along.
With that in mind, I’ve asked a number of gorgeous, inspired, soulful business women to share their sacred AHA! moment – of the thing that changed their business.

Bringing the Magic to Your Biz!
How many Awesome Mentors can you have while building your 5-year-old business? Mine have racked up just within the past year!
One is the beautiful Leonie Dawson.
Around the time I discovered Leonie, I had signed up as a consultant for an essential oils company. These certified pure oils were a PERFECT fit to my holistic skincare + energy healing business, and I was so excited to be with them!
As I was researching additional uses for one particular oil blend, I came across another consultant’s blog. In her post was a really cute + whimsical art image of a Business Workbook Planner… by Leonie! This consultant planned on using it to build her business in 2012. Adorable! I want one!!!
Down the rabbit hole I went…
I started to read Leonie’s blog posts and watch her videos.
My first reaction: “She’s a little kooky, but I love her!” 😉
It only took me about a week to decide to join her Goddess Circle (now the Amazing Biz & Life Academy). I was itching to get my hands on her Business Goddess e-course, apply it to my biz, and connect with other amazing women in the community!
Fast-forward One Year Later + One Message That Changed My Business!
Leonie offered a free coaching call to her Academy members. Hello, her one-on-one coaching calls are usually $1,000, so YES! I wanted to be on this free call!
As The Universe would have it, the night before the call, major insomnia hit me. The angels were extremely excited with ideas for my business path. Giving in, I flowed with it, wrote everything down, and read a biz book before hitting the couch to get maybe 3-4 hours of sleep.
I woke up in time to have a little late breakfast and hopped on the coaching call. Details are fuzzy regarding the call, but one of Leonie’s answers stuck out + came back to me when I was struggling just several weeks later. Whether I was dreaming or not, it proved to be exactly what I needed to hear.
The question submitted had to do with whether to create a Facebook business page or how often they should post — I don’t remember the question exactly, but I will *never* forget Leonie’s response. After a quick giggle, she said in her most loving way:
“Do whatever the fuhk you want! …Do what feels right.”
That response, I feel, sums up Leonie’s being and what she offers us as entrepreneurs and in our soul’s journey.
Be in alignment. Listen to your intuition. Listen to your heart.
Too many of us live in fear. Fear of what others will think of us, our journey, and who we are. So, we just try to blend in with everyone else.
WHY???
Have you ever considered that the people around you or who come to you, are seeking your exact being? Grant them Your Uniqueness!
My business has made some twists and turns, as I went from titles of “Licensed Esthetician + Energy Healer” to “Reiki-Facialist” to “Inner Goddess Life Coach + Intuitive Healer” and currently to “Life Beauty Mystic.”
Our intuition leads us into the uniqueness we display — not only in our interaction with others, but also through the services we offer, and the voice that comes through in our online content.
The message that came through in Leonie’s answer is:
If you’re not feeling it — if it doesn’t feel like Your Truth — don’t do it!
If my energy is not there to be on social media, or there’s a lack of Joy or Inspiration when it comes time to post a blog, I don’t do it. I write and post when I’m inspired and I can be of service.
We attract the energy we put out there. So, Live in Your Truth!
In these early years of business I’ve learned the more specific and true to my nature I become (read: the more *I* show up), the more my ideal clients shows up, and the more easily I’m able to love Life doing what I LOVE!
