One of the things that really inspired me (+ still does) when I’m down in the salt mines of my business, trying to work out the next step, is listening to the stories of other business women who’ve been where I am + have had an insight that’s helped them along.
With that in mind, I’ve asked a number of gorgeous, inspired, soulful business women to share their sacred AHA! moment – of the thing that changed their business.
Today’s insight is for all of you who have hidden your dreams in the back of the sock drawer, it’s time to pull them out and remember what you want most.

Creating the Life of My Dreams, My Way
I spent the majority of my working life in conventional jobs, pursuing a typical career in the field I’d chosen. There were clearly defined ways of working, rules to live by, dress codes to adhere to. I could usually manage 12 months in a new job before my unconventional self could bear it no longer and I could feel the rebel within starting to rethink things.
This went on for years. My secret dream was to be self-employed. I longed for a dress code of my own, no rules to live by and flexible ways of working.
For a long time it just didn’t seem possible. It was obviously a pipe dream.
A few years ago I discovered Leonie’s website. I instantly loved the colour, the slightly irreverent tone of the blog posts, the sharing of personal stories and experiences. I signed up for the, then, Goddess Circle (now the Academy). I downloaded the Business Goddess eCourse and devoured it. I loved the Incredible Year Workbook, especially because it was creative and unique rather than the formal documents I was used to.
I started to dream again. I began to see the possibilities.
I could, if I wanted, live the type of life that would really suit my style of working, that would give me the lifestyle I dreamed of.
The biggest lesson I learned from Leonie was that anything is possible. There is no end to what you can achieve and no limits to how you can achieve them.
The Business Goddess eCourse provided the practical framework to show the way. It gave me the tools to use to shape and grow my business.
Leonie gave me the inspiration.
A post that always sticks in my mind is the one where Leonie talks about deciding to make $100,000 a year, ultimately working out that she needed 1000 women to pay her $100 to do that. This changed my mindset. It shifted me from the traditional way of pricing products and services and helped me look at my business in a completely different way.
I’ve lost count of the times I’ve quoted this story to my clients – Leonie’s way of working and running her business have been shared with so many other people to show them, too, just what is possible when you’re willing to do things your way, to let your own light shine and connect with what is true for you.
Leonie has blazed the trail. She’s created a route map for us all to use. We just have to follow it and experience our own journey along the way.
