Zen Your Life: The To Do List edition

Hey beautiful hearts!

Each week, we hang out together as a gaggle of goddesses & make our gorgeous lives a little clearer, calmer and more zen. We do one Zen Your Life project together for the day… an easy, possible kind of project… just one small thing to make our lives more zen.

When we make space in our lives, we are making room for even more delight, comfort, magic and love to enter.

Sound like yummy delicious fun? Want some more zen goodness in your life?

Hurrah! Let’s start! We can doooo eeeeeeeet!

Today, your Zen Your Life project is:

Get your to-do list organised.

Today, that’s our big focus.

It doesn’t matter HOW you do your To Do list.

You could:

  • make a To Do list book
  • use {free & simple}
  • check out my beautiful friend Eileen’s Sailboat Kit for a lovely way of planning out your week of to-do’s
  • use just a piece of paper & pen.

It doesn’t matter how you’re doing it – just that you’ve got it organised. That you know what you need to do, and that it feels good to you. Simple, clear, easy.

Go for it.

Make your to do list zen.

Some more points to make:

  • be totally happy to delete things off your list that you don’t want to do, or that are no longer needed.
  • make your list divided by topic, or one big list – it doesn’t matter – as long as it works for you.
  • it’s more important to feel like your life is zen and lovely then to feel like a productivity machine. I’m just saying. Your life is not more complete if you’ve got more things ticked off your to do list.

Need some accountability?

You can use the above button on your blog, and photograph your progress. You can check-in to the Comments Circle. You can write out your Zen Goddess goal on a scrap of paper beside you.

Whatever you need to do to give yourself the support you need, do it.

Loving you, fellow Zennifying Goddessa!

Herbal helpers for hair

Goddess tresses… me & my goddess sister Sone at one of our retreats…

Hola gorgeous Goddesses!

When I was going/growing through my period of business busy-ness/crazy times/stress, my mermaid hair started falling out. Not just the usual shedding either – it was leaving on a jet plane, and I didn’t know when it would be back again. I was still all mermaid-y, but thinner mermaid hair than before. So I started researching herbs to stimulate hair growth, and thought I’d share it with you. As goddesses, we do go through times of hair-thinning through stress, breastfeeding, mamahood and aging.

Here’s a beautiful list of healing things you can do to help your gorgeous hair grow, heal & shine…

Healing 101

First thing to remember… an unhealthy body is first reflected in unhealthy hair – so nutrition, exercise & fresh air are all beautiful tools to help.

You can also reduce the effects of hair loss by having more:

  • Vitamin C {hellooooo citrus fruit, parsley, broccoli, green capsicum/peppers}
  • Vitamin B complex – as a naturopath told us, all the different kinds of B vitamin like B6 and B12 need to work together in a strand for the best effect.
  • Increase protein levels.

Herbs for healthy hair

As always, the plant kingdom is here with all the healing we need.

Chamomile: Promotes healthy hair growth, and is especially good for blonde hair.

Sage: Excellent for weak hair

Catnip: Promotes hair growth

Burdock Root: Promotes hair growth and reduces hair from falling out. Burdock Root Oil can be added to shampoo that you plan to wash your hair with or it can be mixed with other oils that will be applied directly to the scalp.

Honey: Conditions and helps with hair growth. You can find honey conditioning recipes here.

Rosemary: Especially good for darker hair

Horsetail: Can help speed up hair growth. You can drink it in your tea, take it in capsule form or mix it with your shampoo.

Birch Oil: Promotes hair growth, and is good for goddesses who are experiencing hair thinning. The best way to use this herb is to mix it with shampoo and apply it throughout the entire scalp.

Ginkgo: Can help with hair growth, as well as memory, concentration and circulation. Take in capsule form.

Hope this helps gorgeous goddess… so much love to you & your goddess mane!

big love!
